On your path towards personal development just how do you find your way towards a happy life? I know that for me things didn't start out so well. As a young child I faced extreme prejudice from adults and children in my life. In the generation of open enrollment and de-segregation, it was tough on me from the ages of 7 - 10 to be told by teachers that I was no good just because my skin color was wrong in their eyes. I tried soooo hard to please those people, with no success.

That event was not good for my self esteem. It however helped me focus on what was important. I learned early on that I was not here to please others. I had to turn inward to find happiness and my true value.
